Angel Mel Selector was born and bred in the heart and soul of the Bristol music scene. Coming from the West Country with roots firmly planted in Reggae, Drum & Bass and Trip Hop. Later branching into other areas of underground dance music genres, such as: Acid Jazz, Broken Beat, Garage, Deep and Soulful House. As a selector, she specialises in playing long sets where she can weave her magic. Choosing the juiciest cuts from a wide cross section of music including; Soul, Funk, Rare Groove, Boogie, Disco, Soulful & Deep Afro House, Garage, Jazz, Broken Beat, Electronica, party anthems and Club Classics.

You can catch her, mainly playing festivals, high end venues, club nights and private events. Such as the world-renowned Glastonbury Festival both as a Compere / Host on The West Holts stage, DJ sets and Radio Presenter for Worthy FM. Suncebeat – Croatia, Southport Weekender, Gilles Peterson, Gilles Peterson’s ‘We Out Here’ festival, Boomtown Festival, Shambala Festival.

Angel Mel has racked up an impressive list of Hosting / Compere credits which include: TV Host / Front of House for two time BAFTA award nominated docu-series, The Dog House, Channel 4. Compere for West Holts Stage, Glastonbury Festival. Solasta Stage Shambala Festival, Hidden Woods and the Grand Central stage at Boomtown Fair and St Pauls Carnival. Proud host of the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talents Finals in Pilton, working alongside Michael and Emily Eavis, Huw Stephens from BBC 6 Music & BBC Introducing.
